I've fallen behind a little (once again) with releasing the next version, but a pregnant wife a few weeks from giving birth does take up alot of time. So just a quick update to let you all know that although I have been quiet as regards posting updates to the web site, that doesn't mean I've been too lazy to get the next version ready for release. I'm essentially at the testing stage for everything but the template upload facility; which still needs a little work, but everything else is coming together nicely with no major problems including the new Slayer and Chopper classes support and bug fixes for anything reported in the forum section. I'll post a full update on Monday with a release date, and hopefully you will forgive my tardiness. Cheers Aiteal |

Version 1.03 is now ready for downloading. A number of big changes this release including the ability to add talisman's to your gear, auto-calculation of additional bonuses granted from item sets, and a greatly improved WarDB search screen with user defined filters. In addition there are a number of bug fixes. Same deal as before to install the software - Firstly download the latest Java runtime from Sun from here (skip this step if you have already installed warforge)
- The download and install warforge from here
As always, keep the feedback and bug reports coming in, both of which can be recorded in the new forum section (you must have a free warforge account to see/use the forums) Cheers Aiteal |

With version 1.03 released I've started work on Version 1.04. It will contain a number of features that didn't make it into the current release due to time constraints. First and foremost will be the template publishing functionality, in version 1.04 users can not only save their templates locally, but upload them here to warforge.net with a click of a button, to share with other users and allow others to download those templates and use them as the basis of their own template choices. To this end there will also be an fully searchable online database of user submitted templates with a rating system. The basic export facility will also be improved upon to cater for users of forums other than Warhammer Alliance, giving the option of plain text or formatted html for forums such as Freddyshouse or VN which don't support WarDB syndication. Also a WarDB profile import screen will be added for those to lazy to type their current gear choices over ;) Any bugs reported in the forums will also be fixed. Thanks for the feedback so far Aiteal |

Version 1.03Well, work is continuing on version 1.03 of warforge, I had hoped to release this version today, but the combination of setting up the new domain and adding alot of new functionality has delayed this somewhat. I'm hoping that the delay will be no more than 2 or 3 days and that the new functionality will more than make up for the dissapointment. New functionality will include- Item set bonuses, I know this was a big one for many of you and I'm happy to say it's ready and working
- Talisman slots, also a much sought after enhancement
- WarDB search with filters, from now on you can search WarDB and restrict the results to your liking, so no more wading through Warrior Priest items when looking for that perfect item for your shaman
- The previously unmentioned functionality is the ability to store and share your templates here on warforge.net with other users. When you build that template you are particularly proud of, you can upload it to here from the warforge application with a click of a button. Allowing other warforge.net users to view your templates and download them
So, all in all, I hope everyone will be happy with version 1.03 and once again I would like to thank everyone for their feedback. Cheers Aiteal |
